The National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA) has developed materials for financial aid administrators, high school counselors, and other interested persons to use to conduct financial aid night presentations.

• Planning and Conducting a Financial Aid Night, a guide that describes all the important steps on how to set up a financial aid night;
• Financing Education Beyond High School, a PowerPoint Financial Aid Night presentation and accompanying script that provide the basic information students and parents need to know when applying for financial aid; and
• Handouts to help students and parents through the financial aid process.

Planning a Financial Aid Night

The Department of Education offers a PowerPoint presentation and a guide so you can present your own financial aid workshop.

• The PowerPoint presentation, called Finding Money for College (ppt), includes notes to guide you as you talk. It indicates places where you might want to include information specific to your state or school. Also available in Spanish (ppt).
• The how-to guide, called Planning a Financial Aid Awareness Program (Word), provides a list of things to consider as you plan your workshop.
